A clinical practice opportunity for students who complete selected online courses and pass the relevant examinations.
After mastering the skills of clinical analysis, a key part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), students can learn techniques such as feeling the pulse, observing facial color, locating acupoints and inserting needles.
Students who wish to pursue a clinical internship after completing the selected online courses and passing the relevant exams can be arranged for clinical practice at Wangjing Hospital, affiliated with the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (CACMS) in Beijing, China.
The internship format consists of clinical practice in the morning and classroom lectures in the afternoon.
Generally, two regular internship classes are held each year, in spring and autumn. The detailed schedule is presented in the "Study in China" section.
Upon completion of the internship, the student will be issued an internship certificate by Wangjing Hospital, affiliated with CACMS.
Students may choose to complete the internship depending on their financial and time situation.
For online courses, a certificate will be issued without requiring a clinical internship.
Online exams are conducted to assess students' progress and ability to remember course material.
After completing half of the course, students can request the mid-exam question paper from their teacher and return the completed paper for checking and marking.
After completing the entire course, students can take the final examination. The exam paper is sent as an attachment by email.
Each MEBO exam has a four-hour time limit. A countdown begins when the attached document is opened.
The exam consists of three main parts: multiple-choice questions, fill-in-the-blanks and answering. There may be variations from one exam to another, including additional sections at the discretion of the exam organizers.
Exam answers are submitted in Word format, allowing students to complete answers directly within or below the question headings. There is no need to write answers on paper, scan them and send them back.
MEBO exams are comprehensive and cover the knowledge contained in the course text. If a student fails a test, which is described as very rare, there is an opportunity to pass by taking a free test.
